4th of July "BBQ @the BIG HOUSE"

BBQ @the BIG HOUSE is a collaborative effort between the BP Foundation, the TAPS Academy and several other Law Enforcement Agencies.

The two-day event offers "Supper on Saturday" and "Softball on Sunday" in an ongoing effort to increase and improve relations within the community with police officers and the public they serve.

The event seeks to further develop positive relationships with police members, and the kids will be excited for the two-day scenario day, where “officers” are paired with community members to form "winning" characteristics which are as  important in policing as they are important in life. As mentors and police officers, we can help teach  kids those things.”

The BBQ Cookoff will pit the HPD against some of the best "Pit Masters" in the community with proceeds to benefit the various organizations.

*Dinner includes {besides the showmanship on exhibition} chicken, ribs, brisket, and kids hamburger and hot dogs.

A "Live" Auction and Community Awards will be held to conclude the events.
